Mrs Joy Onyekonwu is an Oil & Gas professional who has had about 14years in the sector and has had relevant trainings and skills to pilot her current portfolio.
She started her career in Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC) in Movables department as contract staff to supervise Shell’s project with Typha Cenia Nigeria Limited on safety compliance which lasted for a period of 4yrs, (2010 – 2013).
Thereafter, she joined Laser Engineering and Resources Consultant Limited (Laser) in 2014 where she had held several managerial positions from QHSE Supervisor and was later promoted to Human Resources Supervisor/Manager from 2017 – to 2021)
She has sound knowledge of Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC).
Currently, she leads Escon Oilfields Limited as the Executive Director to oversee all the administrative and operational activities of the company which is geared towards the attainment of sustainable business success and delivering on its corporate strategy.
She has a B. Ed in Guidance & Counseling from Abia State University,Uturu, Abia State and later proceeded to acquire a Post Graduate Degree (PGD) in Political Science and Administrative Studies, University of Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
Over the years, she has had several trainings in the Oil & Gas related courses cutting across: Quality Management System (QMS), ISO 9001:2015 – Awareness Course, ISPON Advanced level, etc.
